Appletown was an idyllic village in the remote American desert where the townsfolk went peacefully about their suburban routines. It was named after the old US military term Apple House. It was destroyed when the Eleventh Doctor "skimmed" a nuclear warhead across the time span of an hour and a half to help the Ponds escape to the TARDIS. (PROSE: Nuclear Time)
