Jack Watling (13 January 1923-22 May 2001) played Professor Edward Travers in the Doctor Who stories The Abominable Snowmen and The Web of Fear, as well as Downtime.
He was the father of Deborah Watling, who appeared alongside her father in those two stories as Victoria Waterfield.
