Jackson was a sailor who was abducted by Striker and made a member of his crew in the race for Enlightenment. Unlike his fellow sailors, he did not drink alcohol. He refused to take the drink the Eternals used to hypnotise the human crew. Believing that the officers had put something in the drinking water, Jackson asked Turlough to assist him in a mutiny, but the Eternals sensed it in their minds and Jackson was prevented from acting any further on it.
