Richard was an aristocrat in 1906.

On Monday 25 June 1906, Richard and his girlfriend Violet told the First Doctor where to find Mary Grainger. (PROSE: Prologue) Later that day, Richard was possessed by the Bruce Master. (PROSE: Forgotten) The Master discovered that his possession caused the host body to rapidly decay, so he left Richard's body soon after, killing him. (AUDIO: Mastermind)
