Doctor Who DVD Files is a fortnightly partwork magazine published by GE Fabbri, authorised by 2 entertain and BBC Worldwide. As well as a magazine, each issue includes a DVD of two episodes of the re-launched series of Doctor Who with Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant as the Ninth and Tenth Doctors, respectively.

Overview

The magazine was launched on January 14th 2009 throughout the UK and Ireland after a regional test in the north-east of the UK (from September 2008). Its editor is Claire Lister and the project manager is Ben Robinson. Due to licensing issues involving the inclusion of the DVDs, this magazine will not be distributed in North America.

The magazine is divided into seven sections on 1) the Doctor's adventures from the very beginning when he joined the Academy on Gallifrey, 2) friends and allies, 3) enemies, including some from the classic series, 4) episode guides to the episodes included in the magazines, 5) technology and 6) behind the scenes information. Alternate issues also include new artwork showing scenes from the classic series.
