Tannenberg was a battle fought during World War I. General Hindenberg commanded the Germans during the battle. Colonel Schott served in the battle and, along with his later efforts in the Battle of the Somme where he was wounded, was awarded a Iron Cross, First Class. (PROSE: Illegal Alien)
