Matthew Graham wrote the 2006 Doctor Who episode Fear Her and the 2011 two-parter The Rebel Flesh and The Almost People.

Graham is best known as the co-creator of the series Life on Mars (which starred John Simm) and its sequel series Ashes to Ashes, and noted that the main character Sam Tyler was named after Rose Tyler (albeit accidentally, as Graham had trouble thinking of a surname and took his daughter's suggestion of Tyler without realising why she had chosen it).
