A 327 appendix 3, subsection 9 death was a form of execution listed in the Paradise Towers Caretakers' rulebook. People condemned to this death were entitled to a final request. The Deputy Chief Caretaker considered it to not be "a pretty way to go."
The Chief Caretaker assigned the Seventh Doctor to a 327 appendix 3, subsection 9 death, assuming he was the Great Architect Kroagnon. As he intended to feed the Doctor to his pet in the basement, the real Great Architect, this may have been the fate of others who were given a 327 appendix 3, subsection 9 death. (TV: Paradise Towers)
