Chromosphere

The chromosphere was part of a star's atmosphere. After being trapped in the Sun by a scientist, the Umbra swam through the Sun's chromosphere until they could find a way of escaping. The scientist's message warning anyone who approached the Sun about the Umbra had been bouncing through the chromosphere for — by Sandy Tanaka's reckoning — "millions of years". (COMIC: The Eye of Torment)
