Behind the scenes

Actor David Tennant won the "Outstanding Drama Performance" award on 29 October 2008 at the 14th National Television Awards for his work on Doctor Who. It was in his acceptance speech that he announced he would be leaving the programme as the Tenth Doctor following the 2009 Specials.
