Paul Langer was the ex-husband of Carla Langer, and father to Clyde.

Biography
Paul ran off to Germany when his wife's sister Melba became pregnant. He told Clyde that he ran because he and Carla had arguments. Clyde showed him the attic in Sarah Jane's home and explained to him that in his free time, he helped to save the world. Paul then stole a berserker pendant which he used for mind control.
