The Alphans are a race of dark-skinned humanoids from Thoros Alpha. They are genetically incompatible with the Mentors in terms of tissue transplants.

Many Alphans were taken from Thoros Alpha by the Mentors, for use as menial labour and experiments. These slaves were kept in special storage facilities when they weren't being used. Some of the Alphans were able to escape control and tried to form a resistance.
