W.H. Allen & Co, also known as W.H. Allen, was a book publishing company that owned Target Books. The name was changed from Universal-Tandem to W.H. Allen in the early 1970s. It was purchased by the Virgin Group in the late 1980s and changed its name to Virgin Publishing in 1991.
