The Oracles of Chien was a book on Braktalis. The astrologer Demimon consulted it when he mistook Skrant's ship as a falling star. It predicted, "Disaster stalks the halls of the great… small men persevere to good fortune." He at first believed it to mean that the city-king was killed while he gained from an alliance with Skrant. Later, as he lay dying in his daughter's arms, he realized it meant that his daughter Alareen would have good fortune with Kinvor, while he, a great astrologer, died. (COMIC: The Outsider)
