A Yeti was time scooped to the Death Zone on Gallifrey. The Second Doctor and the Brigadier, who were no strangers to the Yetis, discovered it in a cave. The Doctor maddened it with fireworks and the resulting rock fall prevented any further interaction with it. (TV: The Five Doctors)
Behind the scenes
- It is not clear whether this Yeti was a robot of the sort controlled by the Great Intelligence or an actual Tibetan Yeti.
- The Yeti was played by Lee Woods, who remained uncredited both on-screen and in Radio Times.
- The Yeti costume was an original from the 1960s, which had been found in a BBC storeroom. A new pair of feet had to be made, as only one of the originals had survived.
