Mr Smith calls them Blathereen in the Alien Files which is not wrong. If the father is called Flex Blathereen and the mother Glex Slitheen, then the child might just take the surname of the father and would just be called Blathereen. The Slitheen-Blathereen family often called themselves just Blathereen. The Slitheen-Blathereen in the Sarah Jane episode The Gift only mention the name Slitheen-Blathereen, when they say that they are a mixure between Slitheen and Blathereen. They feel more close to the Slitheen family, but they don't mention that their surname is Slitheen-Blathereen. They might just be called Blathereen.

I will add this here because it refers to a lot of pages where the Blathereen family or the Slitheen-Blathereen family are mentioned. If in an episode, in a webcast, in a novel, a video game etc. just the name Blathereen is mentioned how do you make sure that this really is the Blathereen family and not the Slitheen-Blathereen family? Mr Smith calls them Blathereen in the Alien Files which is not wrong. If the father is called Flex Blathereen and the mother Glex Slitheen, then the child might just take the surname of the father and would just be called Blathereen. The Slitheen-Blathereen family often called themselves just Blathereen. The Slitheen-Blathereen in the Sarah Jane episode The Gift the Slitheen-Blathereen only mention the name Slitheen-Blathereen, when they say that they are a mixure between Slitheen and Blathereen. They feel more close to the Slitheen family, but they don't mention that their surname is Slitheen-Blathereen. They might just be called Blathereen. Sometimes it can be taken from the context, that the Blathereen that are mentioned are the Slitheen-Blathereen, but sometimes both is possible. But how can I make sure that I will add the right family when just the name Blathereen is mentioned, like here: Postman and on many other pages? --Snakemelody 18:31, March 29, 2015 (UTC)
