The Hith were a non-carbon-based slug-like species. They were natives of the planet Hithis.
In the 30th century, they fought the Earth Empire and lost. Their planet was terraformed and they were scattered through the galaxy. They abandoned their original names and adopted new ones reflecting their new condition, such as Homeless Forsaken Betrayed and Alone and Powerless Friendless And Scattered Through Space.
