Sailor

A sailor was an individual that helped in the operation of aquatic vessels.

After some sailors from Bali stole the bones of Saint Nicholas, the Second Doctor retrieved them from their ship and replaced them with plastic ones. (PROSE: Saint Nicholas's Bones)

Johnny Skipton was a sailor who was rescued from a sinking ship in 1958 and brought back to the 1890s. The alteration in history caused the ghosts of his dead crewmates to follow him, trying to make him die as intended.
