Brixton was a district of London on Earth. Drax, a Time Lord, was caught committing crimes to procure replacement parts for his TARDIS and served a prison sentence in Brixton. During his stay Drax picked up Brixton's local "lingo" to survive. The resulting accent and idioms remained part of his speech patterns after he left Earth and resumed his travels.
