Mark Williams voiced Maxwell Edison in the Big Finish Productions audio drama The Eternal Summer. He later played the recurring role of Brian Williams, the father of companion Rory Williams, in the seventh series of Doctor Who.

He is perhaps best known for playing Mr Weasley in seven of the eight Harry Potter films (alongside David Bradley). He also appeared in Being Human, and The Fast Show alongside Arabella Weir. Since 2013 he has been portraying G.K. Chesterton's fictional detective-priest Father Brown for BBC Television.
