Samantha Bond played Mrs Wormwood in The Sarah Jane Adventures television stories Invasion of the Bane and Enemy of the Bane. She later voiced Mother Baroque in The Scapegoat.

Outside of Doctor Who, Samantha is most famous for playing Miss Moneypenny in the four James Bond movies which starred Pierce Brosnan: GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day.

Samantha has also appeared on the BBC comedy series Outnumbered as Angela, as well as starring in the ITV period drama series Downton Abbey, playing Lady Rosamund Painswick.

She is the daughter of Philip Bond, who played Ganatus in the Doctor Who television The Daleks.
