Weltausstellung 1873 Wien (German for World Exposition 1873 Vienna) was a large Vienna event held in 1873.

The Eighth Doctor and his companion Mary Shelley visited several of the buildings specially constructed for the exposition, including the Industrial Palace with the Rotunda. (AUDIO: The Silver Turk)

At the exposition, Alfred Stahlbaum held performances of the Silver Turk, during one of which the Silver Turk won a chequer game against Count Wittenmeier. (AUDIO: The Silver Turk)

Opposite the exposition was Doctor Drossel's Grand Theatre of Puppetry where Dr Drossel exhibited his marionettes. (AUDIO: The Silver Turk)
