Vienna Exposition

Weltausstellung 1873 Wien (German for World Exposition 1873 Vienna) was a world's fair held in Vienna in 1873.

The Eighth Doctor described it to his companion Mary Shelley as containing all "the trade and advancement of the Western world." They visited the Industrial Palace with the Rotunda, built for the exposition. (AUDIO: The Silver Turk)

At the exposition, Alfred Stahlbaum held performances of the Silver Turk, during one of which the Silver Turk won a chequer game against Count Wittenmeier. (AUDIO: The Silver Turk)

Opposite the exposition was Doctor Drossel's Grand Theatre of Puppetry where Dr Drossel exhibited his marionettes. (AUDIO: The Silver Turk)
