Supposed meeting with the Doctor

I believe this alleged meeting is a misinterpretation of when the Doctor recalls the names of the ruling monarchs of Austria, knowing the year is 1873. In this case, this would signify knowledge of history rather than a previous acquaintance. Please correct me if I am wrong. Amorkuz ☎ 00:12, December 18, 2015 (UTC)

The Doctor says, "Now that would be Franz-Josef and Elisabeth by now. I don't recall their being great fans of curry." I think that the implication is that he has met them both as he seemingly had dinner with him. --GusF ☎ 00:49, December 18, 2015 (UTC)

Oh, that's subtle. Thanks for pointing out. I just took it for a joke and a pun. I think it would make sense to add it to their pages and to the Silver Turk page then. I mean, "dined together" is a more definitive information than just "met". And their pages are very poor and short anyways.

While we're at it, is the Beethoven connection the quote "Clunk, clunk, clunk. Adagio sostenuto, for goodness sake. Ludwig would be turning in his grave if he could hear"? If so, I still cannot reproduce your reasoning. Best I can come up with: since in Gone Too Soon (short story), the Doctor sees the baby Beethoven, his calling him by the first name here is a reference to their previous meeting? Am I close? On the subject of Beethoven, I assumed that he had met him from the fact that he was on a first name basis with him. However, in retrospect, I take your point that it is very vague so it might be a good idea to change it on the Silver Turk page to "possibly met." --GusF ☎ 10:54, December 18, 2015 (UTC)
