The Surcoth were a shapeshifting species.
One Surcoth travelled to Earth in an attempt to recover his ancestor's remains. Although he and the Seventh Doctor initially came into conflict, the Doctor ultimately allowed him to complete his mission. (COMIC: Cuckoo)
