After the repeal of the Paper Tax (which was sometimes called the "tax on knowledge"), the print shop of Charles Goodall and Son was perpetually busy. Prior to the repeal, they only did playing cards; after the repeal, they did many other things, including visiting cards, concert programmes, and Christmas cards. (PROSE: The Lampblack Wars)
