A trap street was a term for a false street inserted on a map by a cartographer to "trap" copyright infringers.
Clara Oswald used "trap street" to refer to an street in London hidden from public notice by a misdirection circuit. The street was an alien refugee camp run by Mayor Me. Entrance was granted by a narrow passageway between two buildings located on a major street (one of which contained a pub); although located in 21st century London, the trap street itself resembled a streetscape from the 19th century. Any humans entering the street by accident would usually find themselves stopped by a force field, given a dose of a Retcon-like drug to erase their immediate memory, and sent on their way.
The town had a strict set of laws enforced by the deadly Quantum Shade, and would become the location of Clara's final death. (TV: Face the Raven, Hell Bent)
