Some time in her life Santiago's mother went to a caravan at the foothills of the Andes. There Santiago was born. (TV: Death of the Doctor) At the G8 summit she chained herself to the railings. (PROSE: Death of the Doctor)

In 2010 she had been in Africa, finding shell flower plants. Then she went to Japan, where she was trying to stop whaling ships. (TV: Death of the Doctor)
