Voice from the Vortex! was a short story published in DWM 364. It was written in the style of TV Comic stories from the 1960s.

- The Ninth Doctor is written a la the First Doctor of the TV Comic strips, and is described as wearing a cloak, having a handbag and being chubby. He also carries a gun.
- The TARDIS is called Tardis, has a rectangular console, and makes a beeping noise when it takes off.
