Heat death was the result of entropy increasing in a universe. It destroyed planets and other astronomical objects in its path. Heat death in N-Space accounted for the destruction of Logopolis and the Traken Union. The Fourth Doctor prevented the total destruction of N-Space by channelling this entropy through a CVE.
