Miranda Gerhardt was the wife of Bruce, the paramedic whose body was taken over by the Bruce Master. On the night of 30 December 1999, Miranda was being kept awake by Bruce's snoring. The problem was solved when, unbeknownst to her, the Master's Deathworm killed him and took over his body. The next morning, she was killed by the resurrected Master when he broke her neck. (TV: Doctor Who, PROSE: The Novel of the Film)
Behind the scenes
- Although her exact relationship with Bruce is undefined on-screen, the published script and novelisation identify her as his wife.
- Doctor Who - The Novel of the Film gives Miranda and Bruce's surname as "Gerhardt". This was not derived from any information given in the televised version.
- Miranda was played by Eliza Roberts, the real-world wife of Eric Roberts, who played Bruce and the Master.
