::Well, the reason your changes might not have shown up is because it occasionally takes time for changes to a template used heavily on the site to propagate itself. Generally clearing your cache will show template changes fastest.  It can take several hours, sometimes, for changes to templates to eventually trickle down.  I don't see any inherent reason why your changes won't eventually show up on the site.  Check it, say, tomorrow to see how its changed.

:::Hmmmmm, okay, I'm a little baffled myself now.  Generally, if a template only appears in one or two places, changes made to the template reflect immediately.  And mine aren't being carried across immediately anymore.  Not sure what's going on, but there does in fact seem to be something "weird" going on, compared with a couple of days ago. Spoilers are strongly policed here.
If this thread's title doesn't specify it's spoilery, don't bring any up.

I made two changes to Template:FifthdoctorDWMcomics but when I open pages I added the template to the changes don't show up. Americanwhofan 20:53, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Well, the reason your changes might not have shown up is because it occasionally takes time for changes to a template used heavily on the site to propagate itself. Generally clearing your cache will show template changes fastest. It can take several hours, sometimes, for changes to templates to eventually trickle down. I don't see any inherent reason why your changes won't eventually show up on the site. Check it, say, tomorrow to see how its changed.
That said, it would've been my preference to have kept Gus as Gus, since this is the primary name for the character, and I'm not aware of any other Guses out there in DW fiction. Minor point, though, as long as Gus redirects to Gus Goodman. No need to make an obscure character even harder to find. CzechOut | 21:51, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
Hmmmmm, okay, I'm a little baffled myself now. Generally, if a template only appears in one or two places, changes made to the template reflect immediately. And mine aren't being carried across immediately anymore. Not sure what's going on, but there does in fact seem to be something "weird" going on, compared with a couple of days ago.
