Lieutenant-Colonel Brook was an employee of the Forge sent to France during World War I to conduct experiments on soldiers to turn them into the "ultimate killers". He did this by heightening their emotional response through trips the "Hate Room". Brook was stopped by the Seventh Doctor who put an end to the experiments. (AUDIO: No Man's Land)
