Hi. Sorry to bother you on your hiatus. I'm trying to verify the dating on The Boundless Sea, and the most precise date, 1927, was given by you. I would appreciate it if you could remember what it was based on. I have a theory on this that this is one year after the date of the discovery of Tut-Ankh-Amen's tomb as stated on his Wiki page, 1926. Am I right?

The reason I'm asking is that the real-world tomb was discovered in 1922, and the 1926 from the Wiki page is based on a speculation rather than an exact statement from a story. I'm trying to track down the tomb discovery in the DWU, but wanted to make sure you did not find an alternative dating source for the River Song's first audio story. Thanks. Welcome to the Tardis:About Notsimonpegg

Thanks for your edits! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is a great time to have joined us, because now you can play the Game of Rassilon with us and win cool stuff! Well, okay, badges. That have no monetary value. And that largely only you can see. But still: they're cool!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a Wikia wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English round these parts, so if you're American, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! —  you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:

Imagesedit source

I'd like to point you to Tardis:Guide to images. Please remember not to put images in the middle of paragraphs. Also, don't specify a size, just leave it at "thumb". Thanks. P&P talk contribs 23:40, December 1, 2014 (UTC)

Please take a breakedit source

Hey, I'm going to have to block you for an hour to give you a chance to read through our image policies, located at Thread:148148, and noted above on your talk page by User:PicassoAndPringles. There's a lot of cleanup to be done with some of your edits, so please take the time to read through our image policies before adding any more images. Thanks! Shambala108 00:37, December 2, 2014 (UTC)

Responseedit source

Hello! I've read through the image policies twice, once before editing and again once P&P posted the link. I don't understand what the issue is; the images seem to be within the guidelines (copyright or otherwise), I do not split up paragraphs with them and I leave them scaled at the default setting. However if you could clarify the errors I have made, that would be great.

Deleted imagesedit source

Hi! Some of the images you recently uploaded had to be deleted. Please be sure you are familiar with our image policies before uploading images. Thanks. Shambala108 18:56, December 29, 2014 (UTC)

Video policyedit source

Hi! I've had to make several changes to the page you created at Seasons of War, and it's a good idea for you to take a look at the changes and the policies involved. However, the main thing I want to point out is that, per Tardis:Video policy, we never link to off-site videos. Because only admins can upload videos to the wiki, if you'd like to see a video uploaded to the wiki, you can go to Tardis talk:Video recommendations and follow the directions to recommend a video. Thanks. Shambala108 15:11, February 1, 2015 (UTC)

Linking to Wikipediaedit source

I just fixed a link on The Fractures (comic story), where, looking at this edit, you apparently tried to link to Wikipedia. But I'm afraid that Interstellar doesn't yield a link to Wikipedia. It links to http://c2.com/cgi/wiki. The correct code is Interstellar (note that you also forgot to disambiguate it), which results in Interstellar and links to the right place.  Digifiend  Talk  PR/SS  KR  MH  Toku  JD  Garo  TH  CG  UM  Logos  CLG  DW  01:04, 16/8/2015

Headingsedit source

Please, if you are going to copy/paste across several pages, make sure your edits are compliant with policy. Please read Tardis:Use sentence case and correct your headings accordingly. Thanks. Shambala108 14:31, August 16, 2015 (UTC)

iTunes vs. Digital Releasesedit source

Dear Notsimonpegg,

First of all, thank you for adding the streaming information to several of the pages. I left a policy proposal at the The Web of Fear (TV story) talk page. It appears that this policy proposal, if accepted, would affect several of your edits, which is why I bring it to your attention here. The proposal is to make a new subsection for streaming services, separate from iTunes releases. The reasons are explained there. I would be happy to then add the Netflix (US) streaming information.

Until the decision on that policy, as a separate request, I would appreciate it if you could go through your changes and added the mention of iTunes to the old text. Previously, it was clear from the subsection title that these releases are for iTunes. Now that the subsection title is "Digital releases," this information is temporarily lost. I have made such a change to The Web of Fear (TV story), but now realize that this seems as a systemic problem.

Sincerely, Amorkuz 08:21, August 17, 2015 (UTC)

Welledit source

Well, if you had read the comic story you would know that the illustrations in the story are a way of depicting the events of the story. They're not a side thing while the comic goes on as normal, they represent certain scenes in the comic from Gabby's point of view. It's a stylistic form of illustrating the adventure. You could interpret this as Gabby just drawing random aliens or as those aliens actually being there. So, unless we want to start speculating madly here, it's a Ice Warrior and Quark story. An Unearthly Child on BBC Storeedit source

Are you sure this particular serial is available at BBC Store? I somehow failed to find it at https://store.bbc.com/collections/the-first-doctor-william-hartnell.Amorkuz 01:00, November 16, 2015 (UTC)

Was under the impression every story was on there. Obviously not. Notsimonpegg 02:30, November 16, 2015 (UTC)

Wouldn't that be the day when all serials can be bought in one place? :) Amorkuz 20:35, November 16, 2015 (UTC)

Page movesedit source

Hi! Please note that per Thread:128198 only admins are allowed to move/rename pages. Regular users do not have the ability to perform some of the steps. There is a reason that I have not yet moved those pages. Thanks. Shambala108 02:25, November 17, 2015 (UTC)

Doctor Who Titan Comics ThinkGeek Variant Covers (10/11 doctors)edit source

I see that you posted an image of the Doctor Who Titan Comics #1 Variant Cover for 10th and 11th Doctor's ThinkGeek (10D / 11D in the series)

I am desperately seeking these two covers to complete my daughters collection (she has them all with the exception of the two ThinkGeek issues).

Please let me know if you know the whereabouts of these covers.

Thank you

www.chakoteya.netedit source

You've put back the few links to this website that I removed, which seems to indicate that it isn't actually spam as it first appeared to me. Where should I have looked to check that? I have searched for other mentions of this website but found nowhere that it was discussed and approved: what have I missed? TIA HAND —Phil | Talk 13:48, December 14, 2015 (UTC)

I don't quite understand how you concluded it was spam. These transcripts have been added to this site on a regular basis. I've no idea if there's a thread discussing it but it seems to be common practice. Notsimonpegg 17:21, December 14, 2015 (UTC)

Actually, I should bring this up in a forum post in the future, but the admin team doesn't think we should allow Chakoteya links on audio story articles, because it's disrespectful to Big Finish, and, with audio, the script is quite a large percentage of the whole thing. BF is very gracious to let us cover their stuff and even post their audio trailers; we owe it to them to point to where users can buy the audios, and not where they can cheat and read a fan transcript online.
