Planet Hollywood was terraformed in the late 25th century by a consortium of entertainment businesses. It was known as the best place for cinema in the galaxy. It was named and modelled after the Hollywood of Earth.
Orbiting the planet were rings made of ice and dust formed into the words "Hollywood". The words were a hundred kilometres wide and could only be seen completely from polar orbit. BollyWorld was located in the same star system.
The Doctor took Martha to the Planet Hollywood to see a movie, but it was closed after the building was damaged after the virtual reality simulators were set too high while watching Earthquake. (NSA: Peacemaker)
