David Kershaw ran a museum on Earth during the early 21st century. When he met the Eleventh Doctor in 2009, it was in financial trouble. The Doctor gave him the Great Bairn to display in the museum to help.
When interest in the Baird died down after six months, Lyttle Monsters asked if they could make models of it that could be sold in the museum's gift shop.
