Sophie was the wife of Andrew Ross. Sometime before 23 November, 1963, Sophie was killed in a car accident while with another man, Chet. She had told her husband that she was visiting her sick mother in Austin, but she was killed on her way to a motel in Fort Worth. Her death caused Andrew to take some time off from his job as a doctor at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
