Melvin Village was a picturesque New Hampshire village on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, close to the town of Winnipesaukee. Because it was proximate to both the lake and the White Mountains, it was frequented by tourists the year round. During the off-season, it was even a magnet for motorcyclists.
One winter, the town's tourists included the Fourth Doctor and Leela, who had arrived in the midst of a blizzard. Amongst the townspeople when the Doctor visited were: Makenzie Shaw, Hal Byers, Laurie Aldrich, Curt Redeker, Martha Mailloux and Amber Mailloux. (PROSE: Drift)
