Bart Allison (1 December 1890-29 June 1978) played Maximus Pettulian in the Doctor Who story The Romans.
His numerous other television appearances included roles on Softly, Softly, Dixon of Dock Green, No Hiding Place, Z-Cars, The Sweeney and Moody and Pegg. However, he is best known for his roles in two "Carry On" films and playing Parfitt in four episodes of The Forsyte Saga.
