Archdeacon Zeckler was part of the Church of the Maker on Sarath. Ben Lant noted that he disliked Zeckler as he was a mean-spirited man who only rose to power through the deaths of better people in the war against the Taklarians.
After Bishop Fostel's murder, he declared himself Bishop. He was killed by the Taklarians when they invaded Arkhaven to take over the Ship that was the only escape. (PROSE: City at World's End)
