French and Saunders was the writing name for the partnership of comedians Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders, as well as the name of their show French and Saunders. Together they wrote for their show, the Doctor Who sketch The Silurian Disruption.

Immediately after working on The Happiness Patrol and Silver Nemesis, Perry Brahan was the visual effects designer on the 1988 French and Saunders Christmas special, whose cast also included Ed Bishop and Ellen Thomas.

Richard Curtis was a writer for the series. Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins worked together as Mel and Sue in four episodes of French and Saunders, in 1996, receiving both acting and writing credits.
