Neutron fire was a weapon which the Daleks planned to use on the New Earth System to destroy it so that they could turn the system into a breeding ground for cloning Daleks. They partially succeeded in doing this when they wiped out Queen Victoria, New Yugoslavia and Davy Crockett. (COMIC: Doctor Who and the Dogs of Doom)
