How canonical is the Doctor Who Beginner's Guide? The reason I ask is that the section on the Doctor makes two claims, one that answers some questions, and another that was new to me. Regarding the Ninth Doctor, it explicitly states that he traveled for a long time alone after the Time War. It also claims that the Second Doctor invented the sonic screwdriver. So, should I get editing? Monkey with a Gun 04:22, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

:I don't think you should get editing just yet. I think this could be counted as a secondary source or perhaps less than a secondary source. At any rate any of its claims need to be backed up by a primary source. --Tangerineduel 15:40, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
