The Mississippi Delta was the part of the US state of Mississippi that gave name to the Delta blues.
The Eleventh Doctor brought Alice Obiefune to the Dockery Plantation in the Mississippi Delta in 1931 to listen to the performance of a Delta blues legend Robert Johnson. They and John Jones, a stowaway on the TARDIS, were met there by the Talent Scout. (COMIC: What He Wants...)
