Biography
Fairchild declared a state of emergency following the Mandragora Helix's attempt to take over the world. He was telephoned by Professor Brian "Ahab" Melville the night before on a secure line. During the Dalek invasion of Earth when escaping to an unknown location during the invasion, his plane lost contact with Torchwood 3, implying that it was destroyed during the fighting with the Daleks.
