Georgia Butler worked on the Pollyanna. While Georgia grew up, Georgia's mother reminded her what an embarrassment she was. When she suggested to Raymond Harper that they could go to the school dance, he laughed. She was subsequently mocked by a "chorus" of girls after showing up to the dance alone. On board the Pollyanna, Georgia had recently won fifty "big ones" in a game of poker against Florence Dell when the Umbra drowned out the argument between Florence and Harriet Wilcox and had been brought out the self-loathing and humiliation she thought had been locked away. She disengaged the safety inside the plasma lab and filled the room with superheated plasma, burning both herself and Harriet. (COMIC: The Eye of Torment)
