:Well, no. Articles like these are not random.
:# Introduce concept of racism
:# Give examples of racist sentiments, for context. ''Thin Ice'' could be used as a source for this part of the article, to show that people of colour were seen as lesser by aristocrats at the time, to go into detail of what was expected of such people, etc.
:# Historical examples, to give a sense of the development of the times. For this, ''specific'' instances, like Martha's experiences and Bill's experiences, should be in ''chronological'' order. Which is to say, Bill comes first, because Martha's experiences are in 1913.
:# Finally, off-world examples of racism.
:We could potentially make actual sections. There could be "racism on Earth" and "racism elsewhere", or simply the main article, then "History" and "Beyond Earth". Regardless of headings, it's not random.{{User:SOTO/sig}} 17:24, April 30, 2017 (UTC)

Are instances of racism in this article meant to be grouped together by who it's directed towards? i.e. Should the racism Bill faced in Regency London be put in below the racism Martha faced or can it just go any old where? TheFatPanda 17:10, April 30, 2017 (UTC)

Well, no. Articles like these are not random.
  1. Introduce concept of racism
  2. Give examples of racist sentiments, for context. Thin Ice could be used as a source for this part of the article, to show that people of colour were seen as lesser by aristocrats at the time, to go into detail of what was expected of such people, etc.
  3. Historical examples, to give a sense of the development of the times. For this, specific instances, like Martha's experiences and Bill's experiences, should be in chronological order. Which is to say, Bill comes first, because Martha's experiences are in 1913.
  4. Finally, off-world examples of racism.
We could potentially make actual sections. There could be "racism on Earth" and "racism elsewhere", or simply the main article, then "History" and "Beyond Earth". Regardless of headings, it's not random.
