Philip Segal was executive producer of the 1996 Doctor Who TV movie. Prior to this he was the Executive in Charge of Production for seaQuest DSV. He has also served as production executive and occasional director for Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda and Mutant X.
More commonly credited as Philip David Segal, he is better known in recent years for producing reality programming for Discovery Channel. His credits include Verminators, The Colony, Ice Road Truckers and 1000 Ways to Die.
Segal co-wrote the nonfiction book Doctor Who: Regeneration with Gary Russell, detailing the production and history behind the scenes of the TV Movie.
