Máire was an Alzarian who lived outside the main settlement on Alzarius.
Máire and her friends often went to the Starliner to watch the individuals that came there to research. One day Máire met Adric, who was researching dogs, pets, and the Torris Plague. She later contacted him through his learning terminal, asking him to meet her near her settlement.
Máire brought Adric to her settlement and let Adric hold one of the dogs. When he left, Máire told him to tell no one that he had come to the settlement. Adric continued to visit the settlement in secret until he eventually left Alzarius with the Fourth Doctor. (PROSE: A Boy's Tale)
