One of the bandits in Clint Currie's gang had the nickname Raccoon due to his raccoon tail hat.

In 1899, Raccoon helped Currie rob a train in Wyoming. While the rest of the gang went to the train station, Raccoon stayed by a tree which the gang had tied their horses to and guarded the horses. He wasn't very good at his job and the Twelfth Doctor managed to replace one of the horses with a similar looking horse. The train robbery failed because of this. (COMIC: From the Horse's Mouth)
